How can a 45 year old woman get scholarships for college?

"Depending on your income level, you can apply for the pell grant and possibly go to school for free. Other than that I don't know of anything else. It seems most other scholarships are for young people just out of high school. Some work places offer tuition assistance so you might check into your current employer. Also don't pay any attention to those first two posters you have. Obviously they are young and have no idea when entails being an older, non traditional student. I am 43 now and went back to college back in 2001 and got a degree. How good your grades are doesn't matter if you graduated from high school back in the 70's."

The Existence and Purpose of Scholarship for Women

You may not have heard of scholarships for women but such do exist. There are many women who need educational assistance. This need is a common concern especially for single mothers who may really find it hard to go back to school due to economic reasons. Another opportunity for scholarship is the Possible Woman Foundation International Scholarships. This is intended for stay-at-home mothers who needs additional education or training, women who wants to return to school, women who wants to change careers and women seeking career advancement.
